It occurred to me this week that Lindsay Connor’s Modern Bee quilt along is almost over….and I was intending to get that quilt I had started finished. Originally I had planned to get this baby done over the holidays, but you know how those self imposed deadlines tend to slide.
The blocks were all done, but I hadn’t even pressed them. Yesterday afternoon I had a flurry of pressing and piecing the blocks before the kiddos came home from school and again until 11pm when I fell into bed myself. I even pieced the backing and made the binding. Now all I need is a few hours for pin basting and quilting.
Are you surprised at the fabrics? Nothing modern about English-Cottage-shabby-Chic fabric? Wait until I get it all done and I will show you the whole quilt. Then you can decide if Modern Quilting and rosy fabrics can go hand in hand.

In the meantime: Have a great weekend!
