Hi Everyone! I am teaching my pattern, Jaelyn’s Sunshine, as a raw edge appliqué workshop on Wednesday March 25th at the Bernina Connection in Phoenix (http://www.berninaconnection.com). This is an all-day class from 10-4 and you will get a good start on your project.
This workshop is perfect for those who have little or no raw-edge appliqué experience. We will really focus on how to make your appliqué look beautiful with nice stitches along the edge.
I made my Jaelyn’s Sunshine quilt in bright batiks, but think how different it would look in muted colors like Japanese taupes or springy pastels?
We will also discuss how to use an electronic cutting machine to cut out your appliqué shapes as an alternative to your scissors. This pattern is easily adapted to making smaller projects like table runners or placemats.
